How hard can it be, really?

I’m sick of finding mine or my friends’ photos posted on Tumblr without proper credit or link. It just sucks, big time.

I know some photographers go apeshit to even think that their images might be on a blog somewhere, even with credits. I’m not one of those, but a freakin’ name or link in there.

Also, when I find something I like, I do want to see what else that guy’s got somewhere, flickr or site or whatever.

Ruediger Beckmann makes me want to punch walls. I think him and James Christopher are the two photographers I have the biggest love/hate relationship with… because they nail exactly the look I’m looking for in portraits and nudes but I got no one to shoot with.

here’s one i shot from almost 1/2 a year ago. It was an outtake from a gig I did for the website nerve. It was at the el capitan on mission, i think it was an hourly motel. I lived on and off mission for a few years, the last few months were the straws that broke the camels back. Some highs, but more lows, true state of bipolar panic existence. All within 6 blocks of the el capitan:

A .Japanese girlfriend almost being kidnapped and thrown into a vegetable truck

B.breaking into crack dens run by a lesbian gang

C.getting a knife pulled on me by a group of wahakans

D.citizen arresting an alcohol enraged hipsters from Cole Valley who broke into my house

E.throwing bottles of Wild Turkey at cop cars from my rooftop

F.falling on a giant 4 foot cube of display mirrors and smashing it to bits

G.my landlady falling asleep with a lit cigarette and burning down our house

H.midget drag queens throwing tantrums at my house because I can’t afford coke,

I.watching a gangbanger throw a homeless guy in front a train in the 16th ST./Mission BART station

J.sitting on the steps of my house with my roommate Kristy drinking whiskey, looking up and watching a drive by shooting where the gunman was on a ten speed bike

K.3 consecutive years of celibacy

and much much more. Some stories for another time..
