No government in the world pours more resources into patrolling the Web than China’s, tracking down unwanted content and supposed miscreants among the online population of 500 million with an army of more than 50,000 censors and vast networks of advanced filtering software. Yet despite these restrictions — or precisely because of them — the Internet is flourishing as the wittiest space in China.
List of 100 lowest-rated film in their database. Probably been out for a while but just found it. Ballistic is #1, which isn’t surprising.
Looked through it, most of these I never heard of. So far the ones I remember seeing are Babylon AD, 88 Minutes, Battlefield Earth, Rollerball, Ballistic. Usually on a plane or late-night tv in a foreign country with no other English programming, or some bullshit like that where I had nothing more entertaining to do.
All of these had this in common: my reaction. What the fuck were they thinking!
Or wondering if there was a reel missing somewhere because that made absolutely no sense at all, plot-wise.
